Review how the company currently presents itself and what answers the main search engines and AI assistants provide.
AI search visibility · LLMs · GEO
People no longer research through a list of search results alone. They also ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and other AI assistants directly. To appear in these environments, a company first needs to be found, understood and recognised as a relevant source.
Let’s review your AI visibility01 · The definition
AI search visibility is the work of improving how generative search engines and large language models —LLMs— find, interpret and consider information about a company.
It is also known as GEO, or Generative Engine Optimisation. It combines content strategy, technical SEO, information architecture, brand clarity, structured data and authority signals. It is not keyword repetition, and it cannot guarantee a recommendation.
The aim is to increase the chances that a company is understood accurately and can be used as a source when someone researches a need related to its activity.
02 · A new search environment
GEO, AI SEO and LLM optimisation.
GEO, AEO, AI SEO, generative engine optimisation and LLM optimisation are terms used to describe a change in how people search for information.

SEO remains fundamental. The difference is that appearing in a list of links is no longer the only objective: information must be clear, consistent, verifiable and useful enough to contribute to a generated answer.
03 · The moment
When ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity do not mention your company for relevant queries.
When AI assistants describe what you do incorrectly.
When competitors appear but your organisation is absent from the answer.
When your knowledge exists but is fragmented across pages, documents and profiles.
When your proposition is so commercial or generic that it is difficult to understand what makes you different.
When SEO, content, structured data and brand authority need one coherent direction.
04 · My approach
Before recommending content or technical changes, I examine what the company needs to achieve, how its customers make decisions and in which searches or conversations it would genuinely make sense to appear.
Review how the company currently presents itself and what answers the main search engines and AI assistants provide.
Define precisely who the organisation is, what problems it solves, for whom and with what evidence.
Organise information, pages, content and data so they can be found and understood.
Make first-hand knowledge visible through useful content, real cases, demonstrable experience and consistent sources.
Observe mentions, citations, traffic and relevant queries, then learn and adjust the strategy.
05 · Scope
The scope depends on the starting point. Not every company needs more content; some need to explain what they already know more clearly.
06 · Frequently asked questions
The company needs public, crawlable, clear and consistent information that explains what it does, whom it helps and what evidence supports its experience. It also needs authority and a presence in sources the systems can find. No single action guarantees appearing in ChatGPT.
No. AI search visibility relies on many SEO foundations: crawling, indexing, useful content, clear architecture, links and authority. GEO broadens the focus towards how generative systems understand and use information.
It means improving an organisation’s digital presence so large language models —LLMs— can identify, connect and retrieve information about it more accurately.
No. Systems, sources and answers change continuously. What can be improved is the clarity, relevance, authority and accessibility of the information.
It is not a general requirement and it does not replace a crawlable, well-structured website. It may be considered as a complementary element, but it should not be the basis of an AI visibility strategy.
